It looks like my 1 week old Amazon Sword plant is dying. I am not sure of the problem...
I was still not happy with some noises from my Aqua One 880 Filter. After the hassle I had with the filter and getting it replaced twice, I still heard noises that I did not like.
I had seen the Fluval range on special at Animates at 40% off so I took the plunge and bought a Fluval 404 for $239, Animates normal retail price is $399 and Critter Kingdom are selling then at $445 so my $239 investment was a great saving.
My slightly cloudy/milky water has cleaned up and the tank is very clear now. I could notice a difference after 24 hours so I am very happy now.

I love the expression on the first fish, it looks like he is aware he is being followed (for dinner)
Both fish were purchased in about 2002 from Zydeco café in Christchurch, the café was selling on behalf of the artist. The fish are made from stainless steel and by the looks of it cut directly with a gas axe. The edges of the fish are very sharp and dangerous.

Four baby Blue Turquoise Discus for $20 each from PetWorld in Ferry Road, Christchurch last friday.
The photo at the bottom left is the Discus eating some special Van Gervan Baby Discus Food.
The new power head arrived with a new filter box this morning and I tried the power head on my filter box. What a difference a rubber damper makes.
This power head is different than the unit that the tank was shipped with in regards to the rubber grommet section which mine did not contain.

Ph is very high possibly due to the substrate that I am using. Not sure if it is going to be a problem or not.
